Free Things to Do with Your Kids
Free Kids Workshop at Home Depot for kids 5-12 years old
The Workshop is 1 time per month the 1st Saturday of the monthit is open from 9am to 12noon to come and do the project with your child.
The kids will receive a and will get to build a project to take home. they also get a project pin for their aprons and a certificate. Some locations even provide you with a free coupon for lunch at the vendor outside.
This work shop is 1 time per month from 10am to 11am Saturday. You must look at the Lowesbuildandgrow.com website for dates and projects.
Kids receive a free Blue Lowe’s Apron, Goggles (usually), certificate,patch and get to build and take a wood project home with them. Parents will have to help kids with the project. Sign up ahead of time and fill out the parent waiver.
Go to the Lowes build and grow web page to find out which workshops and dates the kids’ workshops will be held. They have one on Nov. 21 and Dec. 5th coming up.
Inexpensive Things to do with Your Kids
Michael’s Arts & Crafts Store-Kids Workshops
This workshop is held on Saturdays from 9am to 12noon. The cost is the workshop is $5.00 per child, which includes the art/craft supplies. Sign Up online and to find out dates and the particular project they will be doing.
Cost is 45.00 per child for supplies. 30 minute sessions running from 10am to 12noon. Go to www.TheKnack.com to find out about upcoming kids’ workshops (cost for materials) and the Free Demo Workshops where you can learn how to make something (demo only- viewers do not make something for free).
Depending on your location, you may have a state park/s near you and they are free except parking per car. They also often offer free or inexpensive educational classes and tours throughout the year. Get your kids out in nature, and running around. Fresh air and great scenery is a great outing for everyone. Check out the state parks in your State here.
Free First Time Class Passes
You can sign up for 1 Free Class (first time only) to try out the Little Gym or for something to do one afternoon.
